Surprise! We're having a baby! In 12 days in counting that is.
Sorry for the lack of content on the blog, and lack of new products and lack of social media posting but the site definitely fell to the back burner these last 6 months. All for a good cause though!
We found out back in February that we were expecting our first baby and then soon after found out that is was a BOY! I could have sworn with all of the morning sickness that it was a girl, but it just goes to show you that the old wives tales are in fact just that, old wives tales. My husband of course was thrilled but my plans for that cute girl nursery that I had created in this post, went out the door real quick.
We waited for quite some time to actually start working on the nursery. Our house has three bedrooms, and the bedroom that was destined to be the nursery was actually my office and workout room for the first half of the pregnancy. I wasn't ready to give up the room until we absolutely had to. We already had one wall painted blue, and had blinds and curtains hung, but I got to work on Pinterest, as everyone does, looking for inspiration for what this nursery was going to look like. I took a little inspiration from everywhere but knew that we wanted it pretty neutral, and simple! We obviously live in California and my husband loves to surf so we also leaned into that here and there.
